I have a 2004 2.7l V6 Coupe which has only done about 11,000 miles from new - everything is working fine and I have not suffered any mechanical problems other than an occaisional errant warning light. The car is in standard condition as it left the factory.
Recently I have been advised that due to the age of the car it is best to replace the timing belts (cam belts) as a precaution against premature failure - even though it has done a very low mileage.
Does anyone know whether this is realistic advice - or is just an eager service shop wanting to take some money off me?
Thanks, RADJAG
